OAC Recommender Grants

Our deadline for 2021 RGTC has passed! Thank you for your submissions/interest.
*Please check again in September for 2022 deadlines.

Recommender Grants for Theatre Creators (RGTC) are a great way for us to meet artists and start a conversation with them as they embark on their artistic journey. TPM would like to thank the OAC for funding these artists in their practice.

Our selection team this year is comprised of Artistic Director Marjorie Chan, Community Member Merlin Simard, Associate Artistic Director Indrit Kasapi and Marketing Manager/Creative Producer Intern Emily Jung. The team is so honoured to have the opportunity to engage Ontario based artists who work in a variety of artistic practices and disciplines— and continue to support artists in their creation processes.

Submission Details

Before applying online, please have a look at the TPM website so you can get to know the work we do and the artists we support.

– Check out our mandate, mission and vision as preference will be given to applications that reflect the core beliefs we hold at TPM.  When applying, we would love to see your C.V. and a script sample for the project, but we’d also love to know a bit about you and why TPM is the best fit for your project.

– Please note, each year we have many more projects submitted then funds to give out. On average, we recommend 10 – 12 projects maximum. These grants are to be used as seed-funding for the development process and are not to be misinterpreted as being for commissioning, workshopping or production funds.

– Official guidelines and application process on the OAC site here: https://www.arts.on.ca/grants/recommender-grants-for-theatre-creators.

If you would like more support with your application or have accessibility related questions please contact our Community Engagement Coordinator, Angela Sun at outreach@passemuraille.on.ca!
