OAC Recommender Grants

Recommender Grants for Theatre Creators (RGTC) are a great way for us to meet artists and start a conversation with them as they embark on their artistic journey. TPM would like to thank the OAC for funding these artists in their practice.

Submission Details

Before applying online, please have a look at the TPM website so you can get to know the work we do and the artists we support.

– Check out our mandate, mission and vision as preference will be given to applications that reflect the core beliefs we hold at TPM.  When applying, we would love to see your C.V. and a script sample (up to 20 pages) OR some audio/visual material for the project, but we’d also love to know a bit about you and why TPM is the best fit for your project.

– Please note, each year we have many more projects submitted then funds to give out. On average, we recommend 10 – 12 projects maximum. These grants are to be used as seed-funding for the development process and are not to be misinterpreted as being for commissioning, workshopping or production funds.

Please note that Recommender Grants are administered by the Ontario Arts Council. However, if you have any questions or face barriers during the application process, please reach out to Associate Artistic Director, April Leung at  or leave a voicemail at 416-504-8988 ext. 2123 to discuss how we can offer more support.
