Call for Performers
Theatre Passe Muraille, in collaboration with Jenn Forgie and Aria Evans, are currently seeking movement based artists to be a part of their upcoming Seven Pieces workshop, as a part of TPM’s buzz development program.

Play Description
Seven Pieces is an interdisciplinary theatrical story exploring the fragmented relationships between Adult Kate, her child self and her Body, as a result of childhood abuse. Through movement, vocals, breath, text and an elephant body, the seven pieces of Body tell the story of survival and what it means to be lost from and find your way back to belonging, identity and Self.
Submissions from women, non-binary folks and femmes with experience in physical theatre, dance and movement practices. We are looking for artists of all ages, abilities, cultural backgrounds, and creative disciplines. We highly encourage submissions from Indigenous, Black and POC artists.
This will be a CAEA contract under the CTA Workshop Terms. However, both union and non-union performers are welcome to submit and need to be available for the following schedule:
Tuesday September 7th: 1pm – 5pm
Wednesday September 8th: 1pm – 5pm
Thursday September 9th: 1pm – 5pm
Saturday September 11th: 10am – 6pm
Sunday September 12th: 10am – 2pm
**This workshop will be an IN-PERSON workshop at Theatre Passe Muraille. We have a robust COVID safety plan in which we have been operating throughout the pandemic, which follows public health recommendations. In addition to this please submit a one minute improvisation using the theme of “vibrations” as your movement prompt. You are welcome to use music, silence, sound, text … we encourage you to interpret this prompt how it resonates most for you!
