Violinist Leslie Ting invites you into an intimate, genre-defying performance exploring parallel relationships to her instrument, therapy, and the audience. She will try to play the perfect concert for you, but knows it’s not possible. What emerges instead is something more honest. In this boundary-blurring experience, your listening is the transformative act.

What Brings You In offers two distinct but connected live experiences: In-Person and Online. Both formats are performed live and invite audiences to engage in unique ways.
In-Person Performance
Join us at Theatre Passe Muraille to experience What Brings You In — a live theatrical performance shared in a physical space.
Online Performance
What Brings You In (Online) invites audiences to step inward. This live digital gathering encourages you to disengage from the visual and explore through listening. Together in a shared online space, we ask: What brings you in to gather for an online performance in a communal digital space. What might we find together? This will be a live broadcast of the in-person performance, delivered through a custom interactive web-app with sound-based online interactions using your cursor or touchscreen.
