Community engagement is at the heart of how TPM sees our impact beyond walls.

Meet Angela Sun, our community engagement coordinator!

Angela is a first generation/ settler actor, theatre creator, producer, writer, and arts administrator of East Asian descent. As an artist, she has worked with many emerging and established organizations. As the Community Engagement Coordinator, she seeks to foster connections between TPM and our greater communities, neighbourhoods, and stakeholders. Angela looks forward to learning about how we can better engage with you and welcome you into our theatres. You can get in touch with Angela by emailing outreach@passemuraille.on.ca or by calling 416-504-8980 (ext. 2140).
Community engagement programs
Community programming includes both in-person and virtual events, most of which are available for free!
Virtual Book Club
The Theatre Passe Muraille Book Club is an opportunity for our community to gather and connect through reading. The books have been carefully selected by our staff to spark deeper discussions on some of the themes inspired by our upcoming productions.

Accessible transportation fund
We understand that attending a theatre show may cost more than just the ticket price. To access support for booking accessible transportation to our theatre, please email our Community Engagement Coordinator Angela at angelas@passemuraille.on.ca. You can also leave a phone message at 416-504-8988 (ext.2140) and someone will get back to you shortly.

Community days
We hold community days outside our Theatre so that our community members and neighbours can drop-by and meet our team! Snacks and hot drinks are provided, and we always have treats for walking-by puppies.

Prelude
Prelude are events or activities that allows our community to participate and engage with the themes inspired by our upcoming productions. Our past Prelude events included panel discussions, movement workshops, and networking days. Prelude events are announced nearer to the shows on our social media and newsletters!

TRC Call to Action Group
In the summer of 2021, TPM joined the TRC Reading Challenge where our team and TPM community members collectively read the Truth & Reconcilliation Report. The community has now transitioned to a monthly meet-up where we discuss the report’s Calls to Action and work towards answering these calls together. Sign up link: www.passemuraille.ca/trcreading/
…and more! TPM will be programming ancillary community art projects this 22.23 season, with details to come.
Thank you
