The Andy McKim Endowment Fund

The Andy McKim Endowment for New Works ensures that Theatre Passe Muraille continues to be a place where new work can thrive.

Andy McKim Headshot 1

Andy McKim served as Artistic Director of Theatre Passe Muraille from 2007 to 2019, guiding the company as a national leader in new Canadian theatre. He has championed artist-driven creation, world premieres, and bold, experimental work, always making space for artists to take risks and grow. His leadership strengthened TPM’s foundation and shaped its role as a home for innovation and emerging voices. Near the end of his tenure as Artistic Director in 2019, he envisioned a fund that would provide long-term support for artists and the creation of new theatre.

The Endowment is a dedicated fund with a specific mandate: its resources cannot be used for general theatre administration, marketing, or operational costs. Instead, it exists to provide direct support for artists and the development of new works, helping to sustain creativity at TPM now and into the future.

Through this Endowment, Andy’s vision lives on—allowing TPM to support new work in perpetuity.

Because an endowment is designed to last for years to come, a gift to the Andy McKim Endowment for New Works is a powerful choice. The principal of the fund is never spent—it continues to grow—while only the interest earned each year is awarded to support new work and emerging artists at Theatre Passe Muraille. This structure ensures that your gift provides ongoing, sustainable support for artists, allowing TPM to foster creativity, experimentation, and bold storytelling now and well into the future.

Make your impact today and help TPM continue its mission of developing Canadian theatre that is innovative, inclusive, and enduring.
