About the event
This event is a fundraiser for Theatre Passe Muraille (TPM), a registered Canadian charity, striving to articulate a distinct Canadian voice that reflects the complexity of our intercultural society.
Your support makes it possible for us to plan ahead with confidence and support the exciting artists who are part of our season. Your donation not only allows marginalized, relevant and emerging voices to be seen on our stages, it helps us to offer additional programs to emerging artists free of charge. It also helps us with welcoming all audience members within our walls by offering engaging community programs, keeping our ticket prices accessible, and offering accessibility initiatives that remove barriers for diverse communities to come enjoy live theatre.

One more thing! Guest artist Leslie Ting will be joining us! You may recognize her from our 20.21 season production Speculation.
With performances described as “fire without smoke” (Strad) and “breathtaking” (Onstage), violinist and interdisciplinary artist Leslie Ting has been creating immersive, music-driven performances since 2013 with her definitive work, Speculation. Recently nominated for the 2021 Pauline McGibbon Award for Emerging Theatre Director, Leslie’s work combines her specialized background as a classical musician and former practicing optometrist.
Nominated for the Waterloo Arts Award and Orford String Quartet Award for Speculation in 2014 at Kitchener-Waterloo’s Open Ears Festival, it has travelled to Open Senses (London, UK), Ottawa Chamberfest, The Music Gallery (Toronto), and the Stratford Summer Music Festival. Leslie’s newest creation, What Brings You In, is currently in development.
Leslie is driven to make work with the intent and belief that live art can engage the imagination, empathy and compassion to spark advocacy and social change.
